"Le Voyage dans la Lune" was released for streaming on all major platforms on May 1st, 2026. This was Adonis Maycry's second single made available for streaming - the first being "Flesh and The Devil", which was released on January 15th, 2026. Both singles will be included in an upcoming EP, as well as an eventual concept album.
"Le Voyage dans la Lune" follows the story of The Wanderer - A man who grew up in a boomtown out in the west, but witnessed its decay into a ghost town. This song is about the displacement and economic disparity often caused by deindustrialization. These experiences have been witnessed first-hand in real life by the songwriter and musician as a native West Virginian.
The project currently aims to culminate in a full-length concept album titled The Opera of the Night. This album tells the story of a theater in the 1930s, once known for its vaudeville performances, that is falling out of vogue as the movies grow in popularity. Each song is an act in the show's lineup, representing a different performer (their point of view, character, story outside the theater, etc.), from the point of view of Adonis. Songs on the album feature influences from different genres to reflect the different characters that are being focused on. While the music is predominantly alternative rock, there are influences from indie, country, and big band/swing artists. By the end of the albums "performance", everyone else has moved on to find careers elsewhere and escaping the dying theater, except for Adonis Maycry.
Adonis Maycry is the stage persona adopted by songwriter and musician Aaron Reedy. Aaron is a West Virginia native and is currently studying history at West Virginia University. At twenty-one years old, Aaron has spent half of his life enjoying music, playing instruments, and experimenting in songwriting. Over the years, Aaron has picked up the guitar, bass, piano, drums, violin, and voice.
